A 4-year old I'm teaching has a Monster High backpack. She looked at me all weired out when I pretty much squealed how cool her backpack was. I don't think she even knows what Monster High actually is .

I was looking at monster high dolls at the superstore and a little girl wanted to stop and look at them, she was liek 8 and her mom said "you're to old to play with dolls" and the girl was like "but that girl is looking at them!" and her mom said "shes probably looking for her little sister or something" then said to me "please tell my daughter you dont play with dolls" aand i was like "..... i'm 20, and i play with dolls.... whats your point? i know of people 2 or 3 times my age and they do too...." and the mother looked horrified so i said "the only reason i still do is because my mom stopped buying them before i grew out of it...." then i walked away and i saw them in line later and the mom actually bought her daughter a dot dead gorgeous spectra XD YAY FOR CREEPING OUT MOTHERS ENOUGH TO GIVE THEIR DAUGHTERS A CHILDHOOD!

I've had it happen to me too, well partially, that I was looking at some dolls (I'm 29) right next to a 10-year old or something that was getting told she was too old for dolls... I thought it was awful but I never actually got in a discussion with their parents

yeah, I remember getting told around 11 that I couldn't like guys and play with X Y or Z. sucks, seems like kids are expected to be little adults sooner and sooner

Has anyone here actually taken a MH head off and replaced with a Novi Stars head? After seeing the pic that someone posted, I really want to do this but I'm still very new to modding of any kind and not sure if it's likely to be a disaster. Do MH heads come off easily?

Monster heads come off as easy as Barbie ones do, same neck knobs. I would recommend using some heat to soften the heads up a bit first. I use water because I reroot anyone getting beheaded but you could try a hair dryer.

MH's popping up all over all of a sudden and I don't mean just a few Ghoulia's as usual. I found an OPERETTA today at Target. (Yes, she came home with me....) Saw an Abbey last week. The shelves have plenty of dance dolls, Halloween dolls and $12 Basics. What's up? Did all the scalpers go on vacation or did Mattel finally ramp up the volume to the point where their efforts couldn't keep them off the shelves? I can't believe it. For months and months, no dolls, and now we have them all the time.
