suck: stupid coworkers putting heavy trays of wiggly bottles on top shelves. when they arent supposed to be in trays period. or on top shelves.
also suck: stepladders being wiggly

managed to only break one bottle when they fell but wrenched the heck outta my back/ arm trying to catch it from dropping.
dangit.

Have a regular sleeping time so your body clock gets used to it
Don't take a nap or have caffeine or other stimulants in the afternoon so you're tired at bed time
Have tea or something calming before bed
If you're laying awake in bed in the middle of the night get out of bed and do something peaceful like reading until you feel tired again
If you're waking up early get up and start your day

If this is a sign of things to come....
Introductory week at new uni, postgrad course.
Departmental Information - i.e. the important stuff, severely lacking... To the extent that I've just found out about what is supposedly a very important meeting, 5 hours after the event, via their twitter account of all things, where they posted aformentioned information at the starting time of the meeting itself, without actually listing where it was...

Great... Just sent a rather harried email to a professor in the department that I know has nothing to do with me, but at least responds to queries! It's not as though I hadn't asked at all in the weeks leading up to coming here!

This is such a shallow thing to be upset about but it still upsets me.

For a couple of years now I've been looking for one of the Target Red Steffi's. I finally found her and she was on clearance much to my delight. I take her home and I put her away till later because I have a lot of work to do and I don't have time to open her just then. Last night I finally sit down to open her and I get a horrid surprise. She's got what I can only describe as gluey slime all over her hair to the point where her hair is just ruined. I tried washing it out, several times, but that only made it worse because then the glue softened and ran down her hair even more. Looked inside her head and it's a massive gooey semi-hard block of this stuff like the person that rooted her filled up her whole head with it. There was no way her hair could be salvaged so I clipped it all off resigned to thinking I'd just have to re-root her.

I was not happy about that. A good part of the reason I wanted this particular Steffi was her ultra cute hairstyle. But not only was her hair ruined her head had a huge split where the part was because her bangs were not rooted properly! I super glued that area to seal it and give her scalp a base there, but I'm thinking I'd better settle for a wig than re-root her. I am so mad at Mattel I could scream! I mean who does this to a $20 collector's doll then sends it out to be sold?

All is not lost. I still have her and her pretty face after all. But there's nothing quite like finally getting a doll you've been looking for for a couple of years only to have it be like this. I'm very disappointed. On a positive not Operetta is just splendid. She's perfect in every way and I just love her. I'm so very glad I finally got her. She just rocks!

Suck: Been sick since Monday. Nothing serious, just the normal change of the weather sniffles, but I haven't really felt like doing much of anything. Bleck. Still feel yucky, but not as bad yucky. So, now I'm trying to catch up on everything I've missed.

I'm at a point where buy I have sufficinet money to buy me a 1/3 resin bjd. But am at current point where one company merge with another company and since the other company has a department somewhat like mine, it created an undercurrent of uncertainty as to how us part timers and the full timers would be affected.

This whole year has been one financial threat after another that I still haven't buy my PC yet since the news always break at the point where I'm about to 'click buy' >_< So far one hurdle is down, but there will be more information being release in Novemember regarding said merger and one more next year regarding my contract extension if I still have a job.

I would really like to click buy and get my new 1/3 doll but i don't want to risk not having money when i need it and I seriously don't want a negative vibe being attached to said doll.

Sometimes I really hate being sensible and cautious
