Drive-by Thanksgiving spam! Sort of...



Woke up to find a naked faery prince sitting on my desk. He asked to stay awhile, so I said sure, 'cause who can possibly say no to a faery prince? Especially a naked one?

I have to laugh, though, because he's very top-heavy with those wings and can't sit up at all without support. Oddly enough, he stands just fine while wearing them.

I'll have to whip up a toga or something for him to wear 'cause the Volks boy pants are too short, and the pair of Ken shorts and jeans I managed to unearth just look SO wrong on his pretty body. Plus, even the KEN pants are too short! Until then, though, he seems quite content to wander around sans-clothes. I get the feeling clothes are completely optional where he comes from.

Which my many girls are really not complaining about.

He has yet to tell me his name, but I guess faery tend to be pretty fussy about that sort of thing to begin with. I'm sure something will come to me eventually. Until then, I guess I can just call him "Pretty winged mini-Sard" or something.

He looks like one the 1/6 male Soom Fairy series boys (the wings~~~ <3). You must shoot him when you can. He looks lovely.

Oh and do a shot with an 1/6 Obitsu or Volks or Barbie if you have one. He sounds taller than I thought

He's in the 26cm range. He's just a bit taller than my Soul Little Kimmy. But he's a lot wider all around. He takes a Dollfie/Obitsu size wig. Not sure what size his default wig is, but it's a little tight. I know a size 3 is too small (I tried a Jpop Mouse on him and it wouldn't fit at all), but I tried a Jpopdolls Kana on him in size 3.5, and it fits, although it's tight, too. So I'd say size 3.5 (with a really stretchy wig cap) to 4 would fit him best. If the wig caps aren't stretchy, though, a rubber band or velcro will be needed to hold the wigs on. I have several size 4 Monique wigs, and they tend to slide right off without something to hold them on. Plus, they're VERY full, so they look a bit odd on such a tiny head.

I bought a dollfie wig from Volks for my Kimmy, which has a very thin cap and is wefted lightly. It actually looks very nice. The fibers feel like mohair. The cap isn't stretchy (more of a clear, flexible, plasticy type thing), but once it conforms to the doll's head, it stays on nicely even without velcro. I just stuck it on Kimmy and held it down with a hat for a few days. Slides a bit, but doesn't pop off randomly (so far). I'll probably go back and order a couple more in the darker colors for Metato. I like that the wigcap isn't black, so a lot less chance of his head staining with constant use.

4/5 would be too big; they fit Pukifee heads, which are noticeably larger than his.

As for clothes, anything in the 40cm range would probably be way too big. He DOES fit Ken clothes (and other fashion doll clothes of that size) because he's the right size in the waist, but as I said, long pants are just a tad too short on him. With a pair of boots, though, it'd actually cover enough to not be noticeable. It's just he's so obviously FANTASY that he looks a little odd dressed in jeans and a T-shirt. lol Volks boy shirts fit him well, but the pants are too tight in the waist to close (at least the ones I own).

I think Hujoo shoes might fit his feet well. I have a couple pairs of boots that I bought from an Ebay store called Hot Dotz, for my Wing. Haven't tried them on Metato yet, but I think they're large enough to fit without being obviously huge, Volks boy shoes are obviously huge, though. And no way the girl shoes will fit on his big feet.

Iwa_Hoshi - Doh! *facepalm* I didn't mention who he is, did I? lol He is actually a Soom faery boy! Metato, to be exact. I was lucky enough to find one on the MP, and the seller wanted a minifee Chloe as a trade option. I happened to have a Chloe whose head I was considering trading/selling anyway. So, I just traded the entire doll for Metato. (She actually has another she's selling on the MP right now, with more trade options listed. Just in case anyone is interested).

Anyway, I don't have time right now (gotta go get food in oven and stuff), but I'll try this weekend to do an actual photo shoot with Metato, my Soul Little Kimmy (who is in such dire need of a restringing it's just sad at this point. He can't sit up or stand AT ALL), and my Volks dollfie boy. Oh, and my Soul Little Jandi.

Also I've touched up her faceup since that pic was taken, but we had a really foggy day and le camera + artificial light = no colors in pictures. :-/
