I have 2 grail dolls, one of which I already own.

Image

I dreamed about owning a Unoa and a Minifee forever, I still can't believe I was able to bring her all together at just one swap meet. I love Caroline so much, and I really do spoil her all the time.

And then secondly, I want to own a full Minifee. (Both head and body). I often waffle over which one is my favorite but I do love: Shushu, Rheia, Ryeon, Miyu, Soo, Luka, and even Chloe.
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

I have to admit that I have 2 but at this time I consider Molly to be my favorit. Which could change again when I start sewing for Audrey again.
Its hard picking one over the other..
Anyway Molly:

i have a couple of dolls in mind that i likely won't ever get my hands on:

this ringdoll sol is amazing. in the end, i couldn't rationalize spending so much money on a doll that i wouldn't play with often... he'd be more for display.

i've always loved soom's never ending dream beryl. she's beautiful but it's nearly impossible to find the complete fullset in the marketplaces. not that i could ever afford her on a whim. she'd be a doll i'd love to have.

i <3 soom. i actually do hope to find a beyla in the marketplaces sometime next year. i don't much care for the human parts or the fullset accessories. i just want her with all of her fantasy parts. she's the cutest little unicorn!

of course though, these guys are my babies and i love them! when i first discovered littlefees, like, 3 years ago, i immediately fell in love with these two sculpts. i still can't believe i was finally able to get them thanks to denver doll emporium and their awesome layaway/deposit options. they're not quite "finished" yet. i still need to play with wigs but i think i'm keeping this eye color. but i <3 them!

My old Grail doll is a Volks William. He's more of a 'in my dreams' type of grail doll. When I saw the pictures of him back in 2006, I really wanted him but knew that I would never be able to find him at a price I would be willing to pay. Another old grail doll was an SD10 Volks Nono (seeing a pattern yet?) but my tastes have changed over the years so I took her off the list.

I don't have a new grail doll yet. Hmm, I should fix that. ;)

Iplehouse Eva. She's the first doll I really fell in love with, and the only one I ordered just because I love the sculpt, without a real "character" in mind for her. I've got plans for her, but they're more like a justification for getting her while more important OCs are not shelled yet. At the same time, I couldn't bring myself to get one I desperately need for photostories before I had Eva home, even if that means waiting for the OC in question for another half a year at least.

It's weird; I've been thinking about this question a lot over the past few weeks because I love answering these things but I didn't have an answer for this one. I think I may have figured out why:

I don't have grail dolls in the sense that I just want a sculpt, full stop. I have "grail dolls" in that they embody a character very near and dear to my heart. So while my little Resinsoul girls (and Sinjin) are lovely to make characters for, they wouldn't count. My "grail" dolls would have to be, of the ones I own, my Sweet Dolls Allison, Resinsoul Mu, Doll Leaves G, and Cerberus Project Moon. These dolls embody characters who are very important to me as OCs, who I've had for years and have been important aspects of my friendship with my best friend and how our writing together has evolved. While my Dollzone boys also embody these characters, I didn't hunt for them, they just kind of fell in to my lap, so I don't count them in the same way.

So I suppose, of "grail" dolls, my incoming Resinsoul Xue is definitely one.

I have several, but my first Grail doll was my DZ Cosmo:

Now I'm dreaming of finishing of the next Grail doll on my list, a Volks Dollfie Dream HDD-03 (got the head, just need everything else lol).
