I'm still so amazed that he shipped her all the way from the States at his expense. And I feel quite guilty for moving on to BJD, while not giving her enough attention...

My most unusual way of obtaining a doll would have been the surprise ones. Last year for christmas Emory sent me a DZ BB Sheep, one of the old ones. I was in Austria at the time so my partner received the box and asked me if she could open it. I told her yes because I wasn't expecting anything in it, and there he was, a BJD Sheep. Now he is a she and a unicorn.

Another surprise one was a birthday head from Emory. My partner got me a doll for my birthday and Emory surprised me with a card and a head. The card made me do a spit take without anything in my mouth.

My weirdest is actually a tale of 2 dolls. And my first two.
Way back when Emory had layaway and I was a young, foolish and poor. I so wanted a DZ Shoyo on a Male's body. So I put him into layaway in hope to obtain him. Well that flopped because I was so terrible with money then (and in such a bad place in life). Emory did the nicest thing, He allowed me to use my payment to pay for one of the newer bobobie tinies, and if I wanted I could have her in pink at no extra charge. I remember literally chasing down the USPS Man to get her when she came. Sadly my bad situation got worse, I was kicked out of where I was living , having all my possessions held hostage. BlueJedi who bought a tiny with me (they were twins of different colors) sent me her to keep me company while I got my life in order.
I have a very generous attitude when it comes to BJDs, since all my time in the hobby its been so generous to me.

I've told Rune's story so many times I'm sure some people are sick of it. But... I ordered a ResinSoul Jun as my first doll, and he arrived with a broken ear. Featherfall got a replacement for me, but I modded the broken head and ended up with Rune. When the new head arrived, I ended up needing another body for that head. And then the Wu head that came with the body I ordered (got it from JunkySpot) went to Vorelvaeri. Now, Rune's original single jointed body, and the Li head that came with Vorelvaeri's body both belong to my friend as her boy Alex.
