Monster High Question

Postby cirquemom » Mon Feb 11, 2013 2:27 pm

I know that a lot of people here have Monster High dolls. Can anyone tell me what their head measurement is? (without the wig).
And also- do ANY of them come in just a normal skin color, or are they all fantasy colored?

They have 5-6 heads.

As for the skintones, there are a few regular 'tan' ones (Cleo, Clawdeen, Howleen) and a pink one that's kind of 'normal' ish on the pink side(Draculaura). The only one I think is 'normal skin' would be the boy---Deuce.

The rest are all rather fantasy toned -- green, grey, gold, white, blues of all kinds, lavenders, mixed, etc.

Cleo is the closest right now to a normal skintone, at a nice tanned color. Nefera is a tad darker, but she shimmers and is on the adult body. Clawdeen looks a couple shades more chocolate-y than Cleo, and Howleen is lighter than her sister (I don't think I've seen Cleo and Howleen compared together), and she's on the smaller body.

There is a new one coming out sometime this year named Gigi (I think), and she's going to be a genie. From the promo pics released, she may be more of a peachy-pink than Draculaura, though it's hard to tell from the promo pics.

Oh, I almost forgot about Headmistress Bloodgood! She's supposed to be hitting shelves soon, and she's going to be a light normal skintone. She's supposed to be on the adult (larger) body, too. She'll be a TRU exclusive, and her head comes off like one of the CAM kit, 'cause she's based on the Headless Horseman.

Jackson and Deuce are human colored although you'd have to modify or remove Deuce's snakes and take his scale paint off. Both are caucasian but Jackson is lighter.

Just wondering on the size- I've never seen one IRL. Wondered if you could take the paint off, and then attach it to a 50 cm Obitsu and repaint. I tried putting a hujoo Sara head on a 50 cm body and it was just too small. So wondering about the relative size.

They are tiny. Much smaller than a Hujoo - probably a 5-6 wig size. Slightly smaller heads than Hazel's daughters. Not of a size for a 50cm. You could put them on a regular 27cm obitsu just fine though. What kind of head did you want for the 50cm? Or are you just wanting one that isn't a Haruka?

Here's a Monster High head on a 27cm Obitsu female:

I hope that helps.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

A Monster with some other 1/6 girls. Monsters are very petite and will only work on other 1/6 bodies.

That does help- thank you everyone!
I have never seen one in person so had no idea about size/scale.

Zircon-yes, I already have three Haruka headed dolls and just looking for something different (plus 2 gretels, an Alice, Sheba and Megu, plus my Joshua). I wish the visuadolls would sell just the heads or that the whole set was reasonable. I don't really have a new character in mind, just...always kind of looking around.

Thanks!

I've seen Pullip heads on larger Obitsu bodies, they have a big eye look.
