This brat. Steals all my attentions.

Image

his name is dominic. He is turning 3 here soon. But I have only had him for a year in May. I rescued him from the Humane society. Everyone who's met him, wants him. And my boyfriend's mom claims this is her grandchild. He's part or whole maine coon. Since we can't track it, anyone's guess. He's longer than my 1/3rds and weighs 18 pounds.

Image
my fave rattie. Victor the dangle rat. He's the only rat that goes limp when you handle him.

Image

This is the best picture I have of Tempus. He has a head tilt, but I call it autism. He is very special, and almost 3 years old. Temp was given to me by petsmart, and was told "he's healthy enough to leave her, but he probably won't live long" that was 2 years ago. He's not a mean rat, but everything around the cage bars are food and are HIS. Fingers, cat noses, and everything. His. So we play games with him. We blow on him, and he acts like Animal from the Muppets. He swings around and eats at it. Or tug of war with fabric. Since we can't hold him cause he freaks out, he gets attention else ways. I blame petsmart for the cage bar problems....they fed him everything that way.

Image
Persephone and Penelope are my rescues from an animal horder. Persephone has no eyes and Penelope has one eye and a mam. tumor. Its a shame that the vets said they couldn't save the eyes, infection took in and ruptured them. But they live happy, healthy clean lives now. Persephone refuses the acknowledge that she is blind and climbs the cage bars to see what's up!

Image
I only have 2 of these girls now, as I rehomed one of the brown ones. They are Fuji (black) and Hera. They also came from the same horder. Hera is the mommy of Fuji. And now that Fuji gained weight and can't fit through bars anymore (her name is short for Fujiko) They have a huge cage waiting for them!

Your Fudgie reminds me of a former co-worker's dog Jake.

Wow~~
It must be that black & white dogs are geniuses, then, because Fudge was THE smartest dog EVER. He knew every word we said, (even ones not directed at him) and sighed and smiled and laughed when he was frustrated or happy or joyous! And he was great with food---truly a beggar (and he knew that I was the weak link and would give him anything he wanted when he just leaned his mouth on my knee and murmured doggy whines very lowly so only I could hear ^^;;) and a HUNGRY doggie ALL the time, but we could take it away and even put our fingers in his mouth when he was eating and wouldn't growl or be angry or bite or anything! Our dad made sure that he would never bite us and trained him so since a tiny puppy, so even if we gave him a [real] bone, he would very, very carefully put his front teeth gingerly around it, and then once he knew our fingers were out of the way, he'd then go at it with all his might! But then if we reached back for it, he'd stop and wait and (look desperate! ^^;;) but never bite down on it until our fingers were gone again. We had 2 cats, too, and when we would serve their dinners, they'd all eat out of the same dish that was filled first, though the poor kitties barely got any until they got to their own dishes, since Fudgie was such a glutton!!! But all were sharing critters!!!!
He was such a beautiful, happy and loving boy! He really loved and felt sad or lonely (he would sulk and sigh all over the house when we wouldn't let him in a certain room, etc, since my Mother is NOT a dog lover, she laid down some rules. ^^;;) and could show such EMOTION, just like a human! He even went sleigh riding with us all the time, with a scarf around his neck and an elf hat on his head! He loved that! And my crazy sister used to let him climb trees with her. (Yes, a rather large, rather overweight dog in a TREE! The particular tree had a 'flat spot' about 8 feet off the ground and he and my sister would climb that thing together!) He really loved to run and play---even when really old, he never stopped playing.

That dog had a soul, I know it!

PS Skookum-san! Victor is so funny and cute!!!!! That's amazing for a rat to be so docile!!!!! Wow!!!
And everyone's kitties and puppies are all sooooooooo adorable!!!!!! I love seeing and hearing about them!!!!

OMG! Peachy! Teh Behbees! *melts*

skookum hime - Dominic is regal. He needs a crown. But the ratties! Bless you for taking in and taking care of those that have special needs. So many people see them as disposable but I've known so many people who've had them and they are *smart*.

(((SetsunaKou))) Of course he had a soul. And I know we'll see our furkids again.

One day we're going to have a carpet shark (ferret :p ) again. All the best qualities of puppies and kittens. They just have so many heartbreaking health problems and don't live long enough. But then again, do any of them?

This is my Andrei (Drei). He was my wedding present, and is my baby. I've had him for 7 years now, got him the day after my wedding, actually. This is shortly after I got him
Image
About 3 years ago, he started having problems with his left eye. It got all blown and huge.
Image
He went blind in it. Turns out it was glaucoma and he had to have it removed.
Image
Image
He was fine... then about 6 months later, the other eye started doing the same thing. Eventually, it had to come out too.
Image
So, now my kitty has no eyes but he's happy, healthy and out of pain. He's still Mommy's Baby Boy, and he knows it. ^_^

This is my Appa. yes, named after the flying bison. Because he's a mountain of white fur, who thinks he can fly (mainly when diving off the bed at the fan pulls).
Image
We got him at the local shelter. He was surrendered because his last owners complained that he was too big. What did the expect from a Maine Coon?!?!
Image
Image
He likes to take over my bed... and my L plush... he thinks they are his.
Image
Image

This is my other cat, Renji. He's the newest, but he already thinks he owns the house. LOL He, like his namesake, is a bit of a spazzy crankypants.
Pics from the shelter:

It took awhile, but I finally got him to let me take a couple pics.

Last of my indoor pets is my guinea pig, Hanataro. He's a talkative lil guy. So cute!! I got him from the local shelter as well.
Image
Image

And lastly, the neighborhood stray that I have pretty much claimed. Well, actually we've claimed each other. I can't bring him in yet, since he needs to be fixed, and I know he's got some health issues. I named him Jushiro, because he's always hacking and coughing. This is him in his winter coat. Now that it's gone, he's frighteningly skinny... so I want to get him checked for FeLuk and anything else before he's in contact with my indoor babies.
Image

Also in the house is my husband's cat Mishka. But she's a cantankerous old bat and won't let us get a pic of her. I had *one* good one, but can't find it. Anyway, he's had her for 7 years too, a few months longer than I've had Drei.

Exactly. ^__^ We're having to keep his claws capped now because he goes everywhere claws first. And thanks, I <3 my not-so-little chicken cat. 19lbs or so, and he runs from *everything*. It's cute!

Betsy is our oldest at 4 (maybe 5) She's a blue heeler/something mix. She's really smart and constantly in 'play with me, kick that ball' mode.

Image
Simon is a 2 year old Corgi/Lab mix, and he's my dog. I spent my haunted house paycheck on him from an adoption event at a PetSmart. He may look cute, but he has a bark with the decibel volume of a Jackhammer. DX

Image
Our parakeets, Charlie and Yellowbird (creative, right?) They dont leave their cages, unfortunately, but they're very chirpy in the mornings, which is surprisingly nice.

I FINALLY got pictures of my fish. They aren't great because of course, the fish won't stay still... but you can see them. ^___^

Tasuki (the biggest, he's a bit of a bully) a Sarasa Comet
Image

Kyou the smaller of the two Sarasa Comets
Image

and Shin the prettiest, a Shubunkin (apparently according to wiki, the blue is the most prized, I got lucky)

Mah puppy dog Romany. She's actually about 12 or so yrs old, but she acts young. She's a corgi/sheltie mix I adopted in Texas. At the time she was afraid of everyone after having been abused, but time and patience turned her into a dog that loves everyone (except my cat, Cyrano).

Image
Cryano de Maniac, my 15yr old bratty boy making nice with Lachlan. I've literally raised Cyrano from an unweaned baby so he's pretty much convinced I'm his mommy and he doesn't like to share - particularly not with the dog!
