Thanks, everyone. I mean, he's going to make it a surprise, I'm sure, but that means sometime in the near future it's going to happen!
I do already know what ring I am getting. He saved a picture of it on his computer... :P

To find a good side to today, we dropped the gazillion pounds of pet food off at the house before the rental car went kaput. And because they wouldn't come get us I got to walk pounds of polymer clay bricks home.

Sweet little rejoice of the day: I'm a building substitute/supply teacher at a middle school. A few weeks ago they hired someone to be in the position I had been filling in for (just a 7th grade workshop teacher and aid), so I've been floating around the school covering other teachers. Today I ended up covering my old workshop, and not only were two of the boys so happy I'd be in there for the workshop, one of them dropped his things and gave me a big hug. Gave me a great boost for the day!

Sparky is turning out to be such a good little boy. He's getting better with my husband and while we still have a ways to go, I really think this pup can make a full recovery to be properly socialized. He's such a little sweetheart.

This is a very panicked rejoice. I've submitted everything for my application for grad school. A week ago I was still waffling on whether or not it was something I was seriously considering and now everything's in. Assuming I get in(which I really should but you never know how some things go) it will be a good change and an excellent(re: actual) career move and the first step to some huge lifestyle changes. A very large part of me thrives on having no idea what I'm doing. I really don't know if I can do this, but here's to at least trying.

just got this:
"Hi Corinne,
I am just checking in to see if you are still looking for an MFA program in costume design or if have you accepted a position somewhere.
I still have an opening and would like to chat if you are still interested in Northern Illinois University."

Yey.
