Mde Alexander "Alex" and Ellowyne Wilde

Does anyone know if Madame Alexander's Alex fashion doll line of clothing will fit an Elowyne Wilde? I got a Jason Wu outfit including 3 sets of shoes at Tuesday Morning the other day, but I'm hesitant to open the box if the dress and shoes won't fit my girl. Especially considering that on Ebay this outfit is going for nearly double the price I paid.

Alex is basically Gene sized though actually she's even just a tad smaller when it comes to shoes and she's just a bit different in the bust. Some of her clothes might fit Ello but only if they are pretty stretchy. You'll probably find the hose are tight, the shoes are too small, but depending upon the outfit the rest might fit. Probably not though because Ello more Tonner sized and is fair bit bigger than Alex for sure. The stuff that's got a tight waist or that is really tailored in the hips might not go up over her hips or close on Ello. Probably won't work in the bust unless the fabric is very stretchy. Tonner 16" dolls I can't get a lot of Alexander clothes on them because of that.

But most do tend to fit Gene except for the shoes sometimes so there is some variance depending upon fabric. That being said I think the Jason Wu Alex dolls are taller and bigger than most of the older Alex dolls so what I've said might not be so. I really don't like the new Alex sculpt so I don't actually have one. I can't tell you much on that score. But from the pics I've seen she's quite a bit bigger so if they are all Wu outfits more might fit than if they are older Alex dolls.

Yeah, I have a friend who apparently has both dolls and she was able to let me know that while EW clothing and shoes can fit Alex, not so the other way around ... Sigh. Oh, well, she's taking the set off my hands in lieu of a pair of Mako eyes I'm adding to her upcoming order so all is good.
