Does anyone have a spare doll or spare parts we could assemble a doll from?

An absolute basketload. :D

I have artiBarbies, and Barbie heads, in a number of skintones and haircolors. Plus some Volks and Obitsu bits-and-pieces and a body or two, and stray bodies from several manufacturers. Ask, and I'll do my darndest to find it.

If I might make a suggestion, don't do the whole "add a souvenir" thing. As time goes on, it makes the weight and size of the package go up, therefore being more expensive to mail. I don't know if it's possible to keep the weight of a well-packaged 1/6 doll under 13 ounces but doing so would make it a LOT cheaper to send through the US Mail, unless using Priority Mail would be one of the requirements for participating.

Since these "traveling doll" projects often get bogged down or stopped altogether (people don't have the money to ship it, lose interest or "forget" it; it gets stolen or "lost in the mail", etc.) keeping the doll cheap and not to dear is a good idea. I know some people on other forums who are still sore about MIA travelers from years ago.

I have two Obitsu 1/6th that I bought before I found Junkyspot. That means I've had them 5 years and I've done absolutely squat with them. I discovered they really aren't my scale. I keep thinking that if I have them I should try to do something with them....what ever!

One slim male and one female (no idea which one). I think they both have magnet feet. I did buy heads and wigs. I tried a face up on one. I think they are in the same drawer. I'm perfectly willing to donate them.

Lots to think about, not having too much stuff is a good idea or having a central depot to send it to if someone insists. And there's a point in it not being too dear incase something does happen.

Let's continue chatting and thinking about it at least.

*What about a paper doll? The doll would just need to be printed out, at the start of your "turn" or when you have an event, participants would be welcome to make paper outfits and stuff. There could be a home base for Emails, pics and scans of the outfits and stuff to be sent in to then everything could be put on a blog.

We could set up a chain where a paper version of one of your dolls visits the next person on the list. Can't loose a doll you print out in the mail.

Paper doll? I like that idea!! I suggest a particular paperdoll that is designed just for this. Then each person could dress or modify the doll as they like. (digitally, by making clothes, by glueing things to it, whatever) It sounds like fun! The doll's face would have to always show, and the doll could show up all sorts of places!

Well, everyone who is interested can make a design then we could vote in a Miss Dollieh Sanctuary pageant.

I like the idea of a paper doll that anyone can print out. That makes it more online friendly. And you don't have to worry about it arriving in time for seasonal events or arriving at all.
