I try to wash my hands or at least wipe them before touching my dolls, but I never bother with gloves. I likes the feels of meh dolliehs. Heh heh heh... <(*v* <)

I'd actually be more scared of not being able to maintain a firm enough grip on the doll with gloves on than my hands staining them. Besides, now the weather is getting better I can finally give them a base coat or three of MSC (and do their body blushing already ... *sigh*). So no, no gloves for me. :D

Gloves with dolls is the silliest thing I've ever heard of. But then I'm always poking my dolls in the face or putting my chin on their head, and playing with their wigs, so. If you can't handle your doll, then what's the point in having one?

I use gloves when doing commissioned face-ups, but handling my own dolls? LOLNOPE! I'm known to sit with one in my lap and resting my chin on his/her head when I feel down. Especially Shy, my Angelsdoll Kloze. He's 70cm and very comforting to hug and just the right height to lean on when in my lap. I do at least wipe my hands before touching, or wash them if I've handled something greasy/dirty, or been petting my dog... I suppose if you had a Shelf-Sitter, then maybe?

Lol, no. I play with my dolls. I can clean them up when they're dirty if I feel like it.
I mean, I will wash my hands if something might be on them before I go grab one, but I'd never use gloves with my own dolls.

Definitely not! Gloves for books would be more appropriate, but nope don't do that either. Most plastics that are available readily for general usage, polyurethane inclusive, are fairly resistant to most of the stuff we'd happen to have on our hands on a day to day basis.

(Well except possibly organic solvents, especially the DCM I've been handling of late - so far it's dissolved everything plastic that's come into contact with it... Including my gloves... But since I wash my hands upon leaving the lab it's fine...)

Nope. No gloves around here. I tend to keep my hands pretty clean, and my dollieh cuddling happens when I'm not too grubby or gross overall (no hugs between workout and shower or in the middle of some kind of mess-intensive task), so I figure giving the dolls the odd cleaning in addition will take care of everything.
