Question about raw materials for wig

Postby famedglory » Wed May 01, 2013 3:02 pm

So. I'm making a custom wig for one of my dolls which will involve gluing chunks mohair or some other fiber which I will be dying myself directly to the wig cap. Don't need to sew anything or have it in wefts. Would roving which is what you use to spin into yarn, hold up as a wig fiber? Or would it tangle/mat/etc?

Rian has roving wool glued directly to his head, there's no brushing it but this was the look I was going for.
