He arrived so much sooner (and quicker) than expected and I couldn't be happier (unless he had arrived with his custom face-up already in place - LOL). So, without further ado, here is Roho Traideb, musician, pistoleer, Rebel spy and disowned son of a high ranking Imperial officer.
I think my postal carrier is amused - I know she had to hear me squee while closing my door after she handed the box to me.
Blue box is blue.
Body sponge! (I was very happy about all of the packing to protect the doll.)
Yes, he really is that self-assured.
I think those pants are going to need some washing and not just because they are black - they're really stiff!
Hello, dearest. Am I everything you dreamed of?
Roho is my first Iplehouse. I don't know if I'll have any more since I don't foresee the need for another "realistic" boy of any size in my future, but I don't think I could be happier with my choice. Owen is a more mature sculpt than the other JID boys which is why he fit my husband's original character so well. I got him in the model body with special real skin.
As for the body and jointing: the body is fantastic. The resin has a wonderful "toothiness" and is more solid and heavier than any other MSD I've held. He towers over my MNF boy (something Noble grumbles about). His joints are kind of "clicky" when I pose him, but he holds a pose wonderfully. I just have to get used to how to pose him with the mobility joint since it takes a bit of practice. His skin tone is fabulous. These photos do not do him justice. He has a deeper browner tan - deep enough that I'd be very hesitant to do any sanding or modding.
All in all, I would certainly recommend Iplehouse - at least their JIDs. Now I just have to send his head off for his custom face-up (with facial hair), get his wig and eyes and he'll be complete! Next project, my OC, Kirah!
