It's the Flying Spaghetti Monster!

Doll thought are returning! I'm trying to figure out what sort of exile colony my otherwise loyal British subject dolls would live on. I'm thinking they must have done something completely silly/stupid to end up there. It'l either be The Isle of Woman, off the coast of the Isle of Man ;) or the colony of St Loony. I'm going to make one of the guard uniforms in to a band uniform so they can have their own little parade in honor of the Queen's birthday. There will be traditional idiocy like chasing a wheel of cheese down a hill. A big how do I make it thing will be a piper in uniform. But who will be the piper? And what did some people do to be sent there? Anderson Cooper will be reporting. And I'll need Morris dancers...

Why is it so hard to find YoSD sized clothes for boys? Hunting for boys clothes ended up exposing me to so many cute YoSD dresses that I'm starting to consider scrapping the Bitty Medicine Seller and turning him into... a boy that wears dresses?

I'm just not too keen on the idea of sanding off his boy bits, but I really want to shove a YoSD sized doll into ridiculously frilly/adorable dresses without having to buy another doll. Heck, maybe I'll just rename him Macaron and do just that. =/

Had the same problem with Xavier and solved it in my pattern drafting book.

Honestly I find the Yo-SD faces are pretty non-gendered, so as long as you make a neutral faceup, why not just dress the doll in whichever sex you prefer?

For background, I'd suggest the book Outposts by Simon Winchester. It was written in the early-to-mid 1980s but you can get a real sense of life in the last remaining British colonies, many of which are off the beaten path that's off the beaten path!

One idea you get is that many of these far away postings are a stepping stone in the careers of British diplomats and bureaucrats. They may not necessarily have done anything bad but being posted to a miniscule island in the south Atlantic is kind of "starting at the bottom".

I'll look in to that.

With the eclectic mix of guard uniforms and tax exile rock stars I have the colony of St Loony is making more and more sense. Some of it comes from my adventure trying to get correct info for medals for the Coldstream Guard uniforms I have and discovering they're like Klingons.

*To update on the house hunt it goes on <_< It might take up to two weeks to get an answer on the home we really really like, amazingly enough on an E Street, we've made offers on a couple of others, and we're out to look again today.

If something that isn't E Street comes through we'll decide if we want to take it at that time. Time is running out as we have a deadline we have to close by. If we don't we move to another rental for at least a year, and I strangle a few people for putting me through months of bull.
Image

**House news for E street, if we can straiten things out with the one seller, biggest thing they want us to use their lender and we're saying 'hell no', otherwise we can get it. Don't want to say how much the down payment will be but f-bomb, we'll make ourselves do it.

We're still looking at other places but really like this one. Room for the dolls, yard for the pony, basement with artist storage.

So, I'm making my once in a blue moon (or more? I dunno o_O Days just blend together these days) poke-around with random rambles and comments o_o

I keep debating selling my B&G Shannon (my Reli), being that I'm unsure if I really like the face shape or not, and getting a FL Shiwoo, but I'm sitting here like, "....I haven't taken photos since.... since I don't remember". so would it be right to really go ahead and get another o_O.
I feel bad because I am, yet not attached to the Shannon OTL I think I relate to the situation too much and thats my problem (it wasn't what I expected, so I want to replace it, situation - been there, done that in the doll's place x_x). Has anyone else felt bad about thinking about selling a doll? Or just plain unsure if they're attached or not? o_O

I've been into D.Grey-Man lately.... the manga = <3 though it's starting to get a little odd. It's overall feel and art style doesn't feel the same, yet every time I sit there and think, "I'm not sure I want to continue collecting this series :|" I end up getting to the end of the book and going, "hdkjhfdskjfdhkjfs NEED NEXT BOOK LIKE AIR I BREATH." alsoneedsmoreLavi *cough* whut?

From there, I'm like, "I wanna make DGM obitsus =_= but then I know i'm just going to stop after painting on the faces and cutting hairs... and then stopping at the clothes OTL Warrrgh! Darn you clothing! Why must you exist!? I say we all just go naked and turn it into a societal norm so I don't have to sew anything =_= *lolol mental-fail*

I feel like my BB Apollo lately - *As in, flops around, squeaks a little, just wants to lay down.... and maybe a bit like her Yuu with a random leg popping out and re-popping itself back in backwards*
I'm going to the doctor next week (uuuugh wish it was sooner) for my back... I had this a few months back and then again almost a year ago (and I think a few smaller times between?) So since it seems chronic.... I might as well. I'm a little afraid to hear what the doc says, but tat the same time, it probably won't be anything. If anyone recognizes these symptoms....: I can barely walk, lately (I can't even stand straight o_O i look like an old woman..... or a slightly deformed zombie with a dragging foot). Getting to, sitting through and getting from work has been grueling with pains - non stop ache, some burning, shooting pains, sometimes it feels like a leg is going to give out under me while walking or standng, like a random spazz. If I lay down, I better be staying there for a long time.... getting back up is murder x_x. it came on suddenly and this has happened at random multiple times before to varying degrees - at worst, I was walking sideways with a shuffle as my way of getting around (luckily this was while I was laid off). If anyone knows anything, lemme know >.>; It's getting very very in the way of life. tried icing it, heating it, soaking it, iceyhoting it, and aspirining it,... nothing works D: .

I'm kinda frustrated and trying to find a way to get rid of this soon, as this happened so close to Acen, where I'll be sitting or standing for 3 days behind a table, selling stuff -_- I'm even more frustrated because I can't through my self-inflicted cosplay tails (to sell) quota with my back like this ~_~ 9 tails vs 19-20.... and then further frustrated, though completely unrelated, that all the craft stores and online places seem out of stock on these little felt hats I've been using to make cosplay lolita hats with =_= Oh well. i have a tiny one for a dollfie size? xD;;

I still have no idea what to do for mom for mother's day... I like to do things that are different... I tried doing my own version of those edible bouquet things xD;;;; it uh, didn't work out so well.... roflmao..... OTL It was a bit messy....
