It's OK Evelien, that is absolutely normal. This is why: they know for some reason she got blood clots in her lungs and they don't know why; the best place to find out why is the hospital. The oxygen is to make sure she gets enough oxygen into her system since they probably do not yet know how much lung tissue is damaged (it WILL heal, it just takes time). They have put her on blood thinners but they need to keep her THERE so that if another clot breaks loose and goes somewhere bad, she will be right there, in the hospital, with everyone ready to jump on the situation IMMEDIATELY. It's the first 20 minutes that are the most critical and she will be in the very best place IN CASE something happens. In five days, the blood thinners will have broken down all the clots, it should be safe for her to go home, and hopefully they will figure out why she got them in the first place.

Thanks guys, and thanks victoria for the info. I'll visit her again in a few hours, I hope she'll be feeling better already but maybe I'm too optimistic.

::HUG::
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

I just got a text message from my sister, my mother is feeling much better and she needs less extra oxygen. That's really nice to know. It shouldn't be posted in this topic really ;).

I'm gonna have dinner now and then I'll be off to see her.

Yays!

And the bank that owns the last house we've offered on all but laughed at the list of repairs that would have to be made, including a fire wall and a dish washer that doesn't catch on fire. That's the end of that relator. Mom and sis are off to meet with another and take first looks at some places, I'm waiting at home for dolls and will see what houses deserve a second look.

Even though my mum's doing much better, today was kind of heartbreaking. When I visited her today she told me that the doctors had told her this morning that she had been very close to dying and that my father had found her just in time... :( she was in tears and I can't believe I stayed very calm because I always, ALWAYS get emotional easily.. I think I don't quite realize yet what that would have meant. I think I was mainly focusing on the thought "But that DIDN'T happen. You're still here."

Before I went to see her, she texted me if I would bring my guitar and play her one of my songs that she loves... so I did. It's her favourite song of the ones I wrote and she never told me before. She cried when I played it for her even though my voice wasn't as clear as usual because I had a very sore throat. I'm honoured that my music means that much to her.

Today was so full of joy and hurt at the same time. Those two emotions always seem to come together. I got a job for five weeks as a substitute teacher which is great for me, but the reason isn't so great, as I'm filling in for a teacher with breast cancer. Being happy about the job feels weird. Meh.

I should go to bed. It's been a long day.

Thanks to a quirk in how I paid for my 11cm and when Emory shipped it, they were due to arrive today (Saturday). Unfortunately they were being delivered to work. No problem though, I'll just get in the car, drive down there and get them. And so I drove to the office, let myself in, and went to the reception desk for the mailbox key.

which wasn't there.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

For reasons that utterly escape me our idiot receptionist (who is in charge of getting the mail) keeps taking the stupid key home with him over weekends!!! And what's worse is I'm not working Monday - so now it will be TUESDAY before I get my 11cms ><

I'm gonna so kick the receptionist's butt when I get to work tuesday.
