I'm actually okay on the pattern making. It's the actual mechanics of sewing tiny things that gets to me. I'm a very good costumer/ seamster for humans. Learning to sew for the 60cm dolls wasn't too bad, although I still get stumped now and then. 45cm dolls are the edge of my comfort level, I am seriously procrastinating on sewing a ninja outfit for my daughter's new doll. She wants undergarments and lined garments to protect the resin from dye (and her delicate sensibilities from resin "Bits"
) and the bulkiness of all those layers is getting to me. We both want cargo pants for our 1/4 scale dolls and I am immobilized with fear ( only slightly exaggerating here- I haven't sewn hardly anything since getting this request) over the accurate placement and sewing of the tiny pockets. MFD 18 features cargo pants, so I'm hoping that using someone else's pattern will bolster my confidence. I've already drafted my own pattern, but I tried to put gusseted pockets on it and doing that in 1/4 scale intimidated me.

Procrastinating once again by crafting long posts on forums instead of biting the bullet and sewing.
