The idea of having a massive figure guarding my room really appealed to me back then.
The larger dolls almost seem like elven creatures. Looking at pictures comparing larger dolls with people sometimes makes them look alive. Little emissaries from the realm of Fae.
Now, I have a 72cm Shakan (naked, nameless and unpainted still) and he is in my room. He doesn't feel like a guardian nor reminds me of an elven creature. He does though make me think of an articulated artist's manikin. It's harder to photograph because he's so heavy I actually break out in a sweat posing him.
When I try to imagine doing with with even larger dolls I almost can't do it. Where on earth would I put it? What are companies thinking?
I know what you mean! I'd think it would be fun to have it looking out the window through the blinds or something twisted like that. It would be quite fun to freak out the neighbors.
