OMG yes! Do NOT TOUCH these dolls to restore them! Plastics in the Fifties were differnt AND time has altered the chemical compositions and balances. What would work on a modern vinyl doll might MELT these!
Also, if there are any plastic shoes on the dolls' feet, CAREFULKLY REMOVE tHE... they may have caused a chemical reaction withthe material of the feet.
What you have is a virtual gold mine! Some of these dolls AND the clothing, could be worth a small fortune! I am positively drooling! But to be restored... take them to a professional. And check out price guides and collectors' websites. You have a Fifties time capsule there. Undisturbed for over sixty years! I am green with envy. Remember that lady with the Barbie collection! You won't have nearly the fortune she got but still... it's one Hell of a find!
