I haven't decided if this is a rejoice or a sucks, but my baby girl turns 17 tomorrow. Dang ... This time 17 years ago I was in the hospital, scared out of my mind that I, my daughter or both of us might not be alive in 24 hours. I had severe pre-eclampsia. My kidneys were shutting down. One fourth of the placenta had died. I was only 27 weeks along in my pregnancy. Joy was born via emergency C-section, weighed only 1 lb 14 oz and spent 9 1/2 weeks in NICU.

She's the light of my life. It's just that it seems she was only 7 yesterday .....

I've been redecorating my hobby room all day long, plus done some work on my dollhouse, plus I pimped my new crafting desk by spray-glueing pieces of Korean newspapers all over it XD. I'll post pics later if anyone cares lol! I'm so happy!!!!!

Today I was offered a 5-week position at the primary school just down the hill from the middle school I've been working at! A teacher is going on maternity leave (the baby's due in a couple of weeks) so I'll be set from the beginning of November until Christmas!


(I'd love to have the day off tomorrow to let this all sink in; my boss didn't call me in yet but he said he may text me in the morning.)
